Pattern Making I- Basic Skirt

In this class you will learn the basics of pattern making through the basic skirt block. You will learn how to make design changes to this block- some of these techniques may also cross over into changes made in other garments as well. You will learn the basic pattern making terms and what they are used for. The instructor for this course previously taught at Stephens College and has co-authored the pattern making book that several colleges use as their textbook.

Pattern Making II - Basic Bodice

(pre requisite: Basic Skirt)

Create your own basic bodice pattern to use as a guide for a perfect fit on everything you make! Instruction includes various styles with your basic pattern: darted (fitted) bodice, princess seams to armhole and shoulder, curve neck, and wrap bodice. Adjust a basic bodice pattern to your body measurements!

Pattern Making III- Sleeve

(pre-requisite: Basic Bodice)

This is the third of the pattern making courses. After taking this class you will have a complete set of blocks that are made for YOUR body! In the class you will develop a sleeve block that fits in your existing bodice pattern.
